She added that she trusted her child's experience growing up would be "offered in return" to him.
Ms. Zelenska, the spouse of Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky, was on a visit to the US where she had been engaging for additional weapons for Ukraine.
Talking about the effect of the five-extended battle with Russia on her child, she said: "Before the conflict, my child used to go to the people dance outfit. He played piano. He learned English."
