US Senate expected to affirm Marines' most memorable Black four-star general

After over 35 years in the US Marine Corps., Lt. Gen. Michael Langley is set to be the main Black general to accomplish one of the branch's most noteworthy rankings.

The Senate Armed Services Committee on Thursday held an affirmation hearing for Langley, who's selected to be the Commander of US Africa Command, which regulates the country's tactical presence in Africa.
