U.S. Rep Jackie Walorski, three others killed in Elkhart County crash

ELKHART — U.S. Rep. Jackie Walorski (R-second District) was killed in a fender bender in Elkhart County on Wednesday, as per the Elkhart County Sheriff's Department.

Three others were killed in the accident, which occurred while Walorski and two others were in a vehicle driving south on Indiana 19 south of Wakarusa around 12:30 p.m., as per police. A vehicle going north crashed into the Walorski vehicle. Zach Potts, 27, and Emma Thomson, 28, were likewise in the vehicle with Walorski at that point and were killed in the accident.

Walorski, 58, has served Indiana's second region in the U.S. Place of Representatives starting around 2013.

"Jackie's work for the benefit of our local area, the territory of Indiana and to the United States of America remains as a demonstration of the force of an energetic and strong voice, and her unprecedented authority can and has had an effect, first locally, then in Indiana, and presently across the United States," Mishawaka Mayor Dave Wood said.

"A resilient lady of profound and getting through confidence, Jackie's inheritance remains as a model to us all to a faithful help to other people and our Country above self. She is and will be for the rest of time a loyalist," he added. "Jackie will be remembered fondly."

Baxmeyer said that Potts became engaged with the nearby Republican coalition as a secondary school understudy. Alongside filling in as the province party seat, he was likewise the area chief for Walorski and the region seat on the Indiana Republican Party State Committee.

Walorski's nearby roots
